A large polished steel dog grate with serpentine front above a pierced punch-engraved fret with roundels. The turned legs with urn finials are also intricately engraved. The rear of the grate has a large burning area and features penny-rivet to side plates, rivet-work grill, wrought-iron rear legs and a fasthostsbevelled back-plate.
