A fine English brass and steel dog grate by Thomas Elsley. The fluted and pierced serpentine fret is set between square tapering legs with large detailed urn finials. Fine engraving to wings, fret and legs. Wrought-iron fire bars and swag and urn detailed fire back. Restored.
