A polished brass and iron fire basket (by Thomas Elsley of London), with scrolled fret between shaped cabriole legs in the Queen Anne manner. Cast-iron shaped front bars with ball finials uppermost and an ornate back plate. Height of burning area: 8 1/2″ Restored.
