From the foundry of Barnard, Bishop and Barnards, this Thomas Jeckyll register grate pair represent the very highest quality in fine casting. This asymmetric floral design is typical of Jeckyll and gives a hand-built character to this early mass production technique.
Both flat-fronted black-iron register fronts have working quillotine drafting mechanisms. The diamond registration mark on the rear gives an exact month and year of manufacture (November 1873). In addition, the BBB trade mark is present.
