A black-iron Thomas Jeckyll register stove front grate front from the foundry of Barnard, Bishop and Barnards. The full surround with asymmetric floral design, roundels with four bees within side panels and three reeded fire bars represents the very highest quality in fine casting. The asymmetric floral design is typical of Jeckyll and gives a hand-built character to this early mass production technique. Restored.
