A Fine Regency Pencil-Veined White Marble Chimneypiece
A fine Regency pencil-veined ‘old English’ white marble chimneypiece, the rectangular shelf with moulded reeded edge, above a reeded frieze, flanked by corner blocks with finely carved roundels above a stepped bullnose moulding. The bullnose moulding is repeated under the frieze. The reeded jambs stand on stepped plinths. Wear consistent with age. Plinth blocks and inner returns later. Fully restored.
Circa 1811
