A magnificent Georgian polished steel register grate. The extensively engraved front surround has cascades of decreasing circular patera framed with conforming circular foliage detail. A raised bead moulding on outer and inner edges with central panel for damper mechanism. The serpentine basket front houses a burning area framed with pinnacle log-stops, engraved hob-fronts and an intricately fluted fret with central plaque again with fine engraving and bead moulding. Steel plinths to meet the hearth. Shaped cast-iron fire enclosure.
