A Rococo brass and steel fireplace fire basket by Thomas Elsley in the Chippendale manner. A well-made 19th century version of an earlier Chippendale design. The shaped polished steel fire bars set between brass scrolls and foliage with segmented urn finials uppermost. Restored.
