A Polished Steel Regency Register Grate by J Evans
A fine polished steel Regency register grate. The front surround with segmented columns and brass ‘lamb’s tongue’ collars between corner and plinth blocks. The front with two fire bars is set over spheres, a curved fire basket and ball finial. This register has tall elegant proportions with steel reflector plates and a shaped cast-iron enclosure. Restored.
Maker mark to rear of fire enclosure: J Evans Stove Grate Bazaar of No.1 Fish Gate Hill, London.
