A Magnificent Late Georgian Wrought & Cast-Iron Register Grate

A magnificent late Georgian wrought and cast-iron register grate, the wrought railed serpentine basket front with polished steel hob fronts set over fluted openwork fret, with bead moulding and urn finials uppermost. The surround with delicately cast urns, foliage, hearts, oval and drops, the top with central rosette and damper mechanism flanked by flutes and berries. Shaped cast-iron fire enclosure to rear. Restored.
