A Large Greek-Revival Fire Grate in the Manner & of the Period, Thomas Hope Circa 1800

A large Greek-revival fire grate in the manner & of the period of Thomas Hope (1769 – 1831). The semi-circular fire basket in wrought-iron with pinnacle finials supported by caryatids on stepped plinths, with much of their original heavy gold-leaf still present. Restored.
