A Georgian Revival Polished Steel Fire Grate

An English Georgian revival polished steel fire grate by Thomas Elsley. The railed serpentine basket above an openwork fret is set between tapering uprights with urn finials uppermost. Fine engraving to wings, legs and centre, with three wrought-iron fire bars and a decorative arched fireback. Height of burning area: 11″. Restored.
