A fine polished steel register grate by Thomas Elsley with a shaped railed basket and hob fronts. The surround with engraved interlocking circles and patera overlaid, framed with beaded moulding. Plinth blocks to meet the hearth. Makers name to rear.
Restored.
The last image is an identical register grate in a marble chimneypiece formerly located at 17 Hanover Square, London.
