A fine Antique stone chimneypiece of architectural form, with plinthed tapered column-jambs supporting finely carved lion-fronted scrolled corbels. The diamond corner-blocks flank the simple frieze with central tablet set below a substantial moulded shelf. Wear consistent with age and use. Original patina present. Omissions to top of lion’s mane and muzzle. Restored.
