19th Century English Polished Brass & Steel Fire Grate
A 19th century English Adam-style polished brass fire grate (by Thomas Elsley). The railed serpentine basket above a fluted fret with piercing is set between square tapered legs with large brass urns. Engraving to centre-apron and wings. Wrought-iron fire bars and a decorative fireback. Restored. Height of burning area: 11 1/2″
