18th Century Irish Brass Register Grate

An 18th Century Irish brass register grate with extensive engraving. The front basket with round and rectangular fire bars set over a delicate openwork fret. A finely engraved front surround with classical urn, acanthus and harebell with roundel details uppermost. Minor losses to engraving and fret, consistent with age. Shaped cast-iron fire enclosure.
