An elegant English six-branch brass chandelier. The collared ring detail on the central sphere holds the branches; each s-scroll arm is individually marked and housed in mortised joint flanges extending from the central ring. All central elements are secured on a wrought-iron centre bar locked in place with a wedge-pin above a foliated ceiling rose. The chandelier was originally intended for candles. It has been previously electrified with wiring now removed. Electrification can be arranged if required.
Restored. Circa Mid-eighteenth century
