English Georgian Polished Wrought & Cast Register Grate Circa 1800

An English Georgian polished wrought & cast register grate. The front surround with shaped panels depicting rosette, swag, corn and torchieres. The front basket with round and rectangular fire bars flanked by hobs over a delicately fluted fret. This register is incredibly finely cast and the surround is finished in black and wax. The front basket is polished wrought. Height of burning area: 12″.
