Mid 19th Century Polished Wrought & Oak Club Fender
A mid 19th century polished wrought & oak club fender. The large fender with oak-topped seats to corners over scrolled openwork panels interspersed with uprights and twists. All set on a sturdy stepped plinth base. Maker’s maker ‘W S Crown V’ to rear. This piece was most probably commissioned for a government or public building and is built to a withstand heavy footfall. Restored.
