Thomas Jeckyll Aesthetic Movement Register Front with Floral Design

A Thomas Jeckyll Aesthetic Movement register front with floral design and working guillotine mechanism. A black-iron register stove front grate designed by Thomas Jeckyll and produced by the foundry of Barnard, Bishop and Barnards. The surround with asymmetric chrysanthemum design and three reeded fire bars represents the very highest quality in fine casting. The asymmetric floral design is typical of Jeckyll and gives a hand-built character to this early mass production technique. Restored.
