19th Century English Brass & Steel Fire Grate

A 19th Century English brass & steel fire grate in the Georgian-revival manner by Thomas Elsley. The fluted serpentine openwork fret with skirt is set between square tapering legs with large brass urns uppermost. Fine engraving on wings, legs, and fret. Three wrought-iron fire bars and a decorative arched fireback. Wear consistent with age and use. Restored.
