An English fire basket in the early 18th century manner. The basket is made from an early experimental ‘rust-proof’ steel, an antique prelude to stainless steel. The fire front with carefully constructed fire bars with central vertical column supported by column legs on ball feet. A swept shaped solid fret sits below. Restored.
