A Baroque Revival console table after a design by Serge Roche. The Baroque stylised foliate legs supported on plinth have been sculptured to create a support for the shaped black marble table top. The marble top with white-veins rests upon a composite bed-moulding in black. The console table is in beautiful condition. One of a pair. Circa Late twentieth century
The marble top is 30mm thick.

Serge Roche was a French artist (1898 – 1988) known for his elegant furniture design which was a playful take on Baroque-Revival during the mid-twentieth century. His pieces often featured distressed reflective surfaces to play with light.
