Thomas Jeckyll register front with working guillotine mechanism. A black-iron Thomas Jeckyll register stove front grat from the foundry of Barnard, Bishop and Barnard. The surround with asymmetric floral design, roundels with two butterflies, four bees and three reeded fire bars represents the very highest quality in fine casting. The asymmetric floral design is typical of Jeckyll and gives a hand-built character to this early mass production technique. Restored.
