St Anne's Marble Chimneypiece Mantel

A beautiful St Anne’s marble chimneypiece of late Georgian form, originally from Holderness House, Hull (1837).  The moulded shelf sits on bedding mouldings above a simple frieze.  The stepped jambs with moulded capitals and plinths to meet the hearth slab.  One of a set of three near identical chimneypieces from the same property and now in our collection.

Restored.  Circa 1838
