An English Polished Steel and Wrought-Iron Dog Grate by Carron Co with Longden. The sturdy tapered legs sit over block-plinth feet, supporting a serpentine front with scroll openwork fret. The grate also features beaded moulding, steel urns, penny rivets and rivet-work grill. Late 19th century.
