A late 18th century, cast-iron, marriage, hob grate by the Dale Company. The polished wrought bars of elliptical form and the cast front decorated with a centre relief of two doves, the symbol of conjugal fidelity, enclosed within a circular bead moulding. To either side are reducing flutes, with two bands of ornamental fret below gadrooned hob plates
